• Arrival - Indore

  Arrive at Indore, the capital of Malwa region and the financial hub of Madhya Pradesh. You would be picked up by our tour leader and we would then proceed to the hotel for check-in and lunch. In the evening we will enjoy a local guided street food walk sampling some of Sarafa Bazaar's delicacies including Bhutte Ka Kees, Jalebo, and Garadu, and end it with a lovely Kulfi. Indore happens to be the cleanest city in India so even in a food street as busy as this, you would find trash only in the dustbins which are a plenty in the whole city.

• Indore - Ujjain - Indore – 107 km

  After a leisurely breakfast, we head straight to the ancient city of Ujjain. Here we visit the renowned Batik cloth market followed by the Shipra River Aarti – an enchanting experience, which is more intimate than the Ganga Aarti of Varanasi. In the late evening we proceed back to the hotel.
  

• Indore- Mandu- Maheshwar (Nimar Region) 151 km

  After breakfast we will head to Mandu which rests on a high plateau of the Vindhya Range. Upon Arrival we experience a local lunch where we can try Dal-bati-Churma. We then have a guided tour of Mandu’s Afghan style architectural sights including the Jahaz Mahal, Roopmati’s pavilion, and other important buildings. Late lunch we will proceed to Maheshwar and check in to the Ahilya Fort Hotel. This Fort used to be the residence of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar. Dinner & Overnight at Ahilya Fort in a very beautiful setting overlooking the Narmada.

• Maheshwar- Temple- Ghats- Maheshwari Saree- Maheshwar

  Early in the morning we visit the Maheshwar temple and experience the daily Puja where 108 small shiv lings are created from wet sand and worshiped by the family priests of the Holkars. We can take an active part in this pooja. We then return to the Hotel for breakfast and have some free time to explore this grand yet rustic palace where we are staying. Experience a serene sunset boat ride on the Narmada River. Later we visit the local Maheshwari Saree making facility and learn more about its hand weaving. In the evening we witness the Temple Palkhi, which is also one of the interesting events in Maheshwar followed by a local experience in Tuk Tuk ride and even spending some time at the ghats. Dinner & overnight in Maheshwar.

• Maheshwar- Indore- Mumbai

  After breakfast, we check out and proceed to Indore for our return flight to Mumbai.

Omkareshwar temple in Maheshwar can be done on last day, tourist can do it by themselves.
